The towpath, which will soon also be part of the Gudenå Trail, goes right past Åpromenaden in Bjerringbro. Viborg Municipality held a topping-out ceremony for neighbors and craftsmen on Thursday 22 August. The area is a brand new recreational space for the city’s citizens – and for those who pass by both on foot on Trækstien/Gudenåstien and in canoes. The area will include a sauna, changing facilities, a packed lunch house and fun play facilities in the wet terrain. There are shelters on the scout site behind it. At Outdoor Bjerringbro you can rent canoes and mountain bikes and buy ice cream and coffee in Café Isfuglen. So there are many good reasons to visit Bjerringbro.
