Bridge on GudenåStien to be replaced

Favrskov Municipality and Wood-ways A/S have started work on replacing a bridge over GudenåStien/Trækstien about a kilometer north of Høj Stene.
The crossing over Borre River, where the bridge is to be replaced, is located at the top of the map section.
At the moment, however, be aware that it’s wet on the way there – when the water level drops, the bridge south of it will also need to be replaced.
The new bridge will replace an existing bridge that is ready for replacement.
The new crossing of the Borre river has been moved slightly so that hikers along the Gudenå Trail can use the existing bridge while the new crossing is established.
The old bridge will be removed when the new crossing is completed. Voluntary agreements have been made with affected landowners. The project is part of the large project to establish a path all the way along Gudenåen.
