TOGETHER FOR THE RIVER GUDENÅEN
On November 14, GudenåSamarbejdet held a meeting for the tourism and experience industry at Himmelbjerggården. The focus was to inform about Gudenåplan and Gudenåsti, as well as to inspire experience development and collaboration through two sharp presentations – see below.
Along the way, two workshops were held where participants discussed the presentations and perspectives for development in groups.
Three business meetings have previously been held – one in the north at Hotel Randers on November 1, 2024, one in the middle at Vejlsøhus on October 30, 2024 and one in the south at Sandvad Inn on February 20, 2025.

Gudenåplanen - a nature plan for Gudenåen and Randers Fjord
Sabina Rohde presented the Gudenå Committee's work on the "Gudenå Plan - a nature plan for the Gudenå and Randers Fjord", including the four focus areas - 1) more and better protected nature, 2) climate-resilient river valley, 3) clean river, lake and fjord and 4) core areas for outdoor life. Sabina emphasized how more and better nature can help support product and experience development and branding of Gudenåen and its catchment area. Watch Sabina's presentation here

Gudenåstien - from source to fjord
Thomas Brandt Ebbesen gave an update on the Gudenåsti project, which has entered its final phase. Thomas gave examples of some of the facilities and trail sections that have been established; informed that the inauguration will be on March 28, 2026, and that there are four new leaflets for the Gudenå Trail on the way and encouraged to use the trail in tourism and experience development. The trail project is supported by the A.P. Møller Foundation and the Nordea Foundation as well as the 11 project partners. Watch Thomas' presentation here.

Himmelbjerggården - a Nordic inspiration center
Aslaug Færch Johnsen talked about Himmelbjerggården - its fascinating history, the vision and driving force behind it all, the many activities that fill the place today, and not least about the regenerative approach. Watch Aslaug's presentation here.

Bilbjerghus - Beyond Bed and Breakfast
Linda Bilberg told the fascinating story of Bilberghus' development from Strandgårdens Motel to Bilbergs Camping and Holiday Home Rental to what it is today - Bilberghus - Beyond Bed & Breakfast. About rethinking and recreating and incorporating nature and sustainability in product and marketing. Watch Linda's presentation here.

Previously held meetings
In the winter of 2024/25, we held three meetings for the industry. One in the north at Hotel Randers, one in the middle at Vejlsøhus and one in the south at Sandvad Inn. Three great meetings, bubbling with energy and ideas!

GudenåSamarbejdet, which is a collaboration on tourism in the 7 Gudenå municipalities, collaborates with Destination Kystlandet, Danmarks Smukkeste and VisitAarhus to make 2 and 2 add up to at least 5.
