Himmelbjergruten - north of the lakes

The northern part of the Himmelbjergruten is approximately 26 km. Along the way, you'll pass several magnificent viewpoints.

Short description

The hiking route runs between Ry station and Silkeborg station. You have the option to divide the route into stages, for example by taking the train that stops in Ry, Laven, Svejbæk and Silkeborg. You can also combine your hike with scheduled boats, and at Svejbæk you can take the solar-powered ferry "Søhøjlandet" between Ålekroen and Skyttehusets Camping. The tour is easy to moderate.

The trip is approximately 26 kilometers. and runs between Ry and Silkeborg station. You can combine your trip by train, tour boat or sun ferry:
