Himmelbjergruten - north of the lakes

The northern part of the Himmelbjergruten is approximately 26 km. Along the way, you'll pass several magnificent viewpoints.

Short description

The hiking trail runs between Ry Station and Silkeborg Station. You can break up the route, for example, by taking the train, which stops at Ry, Laven, Svejbæk, and Silkeborg. You can also combine your hike with a boat ride; at Svejbæk, you can take the solar-powered ferry “Søhøjlandet” from Ålekroen to Skyttehusets Camping. The hike is easy to moderate.

The trip is approximately 26 kilometers. and runs between Ry and Silkeborg station. You can combine your trip by train, tour boat or sun ferry:
